Here’s a success story of the kind only America seems to have: becoming a global pop star overnight—or almost. And yet, Chappell Roan didn’t appear out of nowhere. Her first steps in music go back to 2014, with a track posted on YouTube. The Missouri native went through more than a few ups and downs before reaching the top of the charts: heartbreaks, being dropped by her first label, a string of odd jobs just to get by… She kept searching until she finally found her path with her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, released in 2023, followed by the single Good Luck, Babe!, a massive hit.
